Online Safety Safeguarding Training

KCSIE states: ‘It is essential that children are safeguarded from potentially harmful and inappropriate online material. An effective whole school and college approach to online safety empowers a school or college to protect and educate pupils, students, and staff in their use of technology and establishes mechanisms to identify, intervene in, and escalate any concerns where appropriate.’

This area of safeguarding is particularly fast-paced and ever-changing. It is therefore essential that school leaders are forward-thinking in how they can protect children from the ever-increasing risks associated with being online.

This training is ideal for Head Teachers, Governors, DSLs and Computing Leads and can be delivered both face to face and remotely using Zoom.

Online Safety Training covers:

Areas of Risk : Content, Contact, Conduct, Commerce

  • Blocks, Filters and Monitoring
  • Responding to Concerns, Risk Assessment, Review and Planning
  • Online Safety in the Curriculum
