KCSIE 23 states: ‘The designated safeguarding lead should take lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection (including online safety and understanding the filtering and monitoring systems and processes in place).’ This training is designed to equip those undertaking this lead role with the expertise to ensure children are safe online. It encourages delegates to develop an Online Safety Strategic Plan for their setting which covers all aspects of this subject including policy, filters, monitoring, curriculum, and working with parents. This training will continue to be updated alongside new developments in this
fast-paced area. This training is suitable for existing DSLs as a refresher and existing Online Safety or Computing Leads.
